PD Tester Technical Specifications

Power Requirements

Standard 120V, 15 amp receptacle

Diagnostics

Microprocessor-based programmable logic controller with an LCD color display operator interface

Dimensions

Width: 30 inches (varies depending on connectors used)

Height:  14 inches to main platform
            22 inches overall

Depth:  14 inches (not including the extending outlets)

Portability: The tester is not specifically designed to be portable, but may be used as a portable device if desired. It is recommended that the tester be secured to a solid platform.

Testing Connectors

The PD Tester will test only non-active cables and panels. Connecting live power cables to the tester will damage the tester.

·         Straight-blade 120V-15A (common household outlet/plug)

·         Twist-lock 120V-20A (NEMA L5-20)

·         Twist-lock  240V-50A (Hubble)

·         Twist-lock 120/208V-20A 3-phase (NEMA L21-20)

·         Pin and sleeve 120/208V-100A 3-phase (blue Hubble)

·         Optional Connectors: Any commercially available connector, or customer-provided panel-mount connector can be added to the tester.

Display

The display is a color LCD touch screen and serves as the primary user interface.

·         4.38" x 3.29" viewable screen size (6" x 5" total)

·         10,000 hour back light

·         1,000,000 touch operations

·         Temperature: 0-55 °C

·         Humidity: 20-85% (non-condensing)

Circuit Protection

Redundant circuit protection:

·         Opto-electric isolation relays protect the computer

·         ½ amp fast-blow fuses protect the isolation relays

Self Diagnostics

When the PD Tester is turned on, a self diagnostic routine is activated to check the integrity of the input circuitry. Additionally, both the PLC and the Display microprocessors perform a self-diagnostic routine.
